As early on as our second project, we were rewarded with the intriguing privilege of working on a large processing plant, coordinating and reworking 30,000 feet of cable tray suspended from the structure. This project presented a significant challenge that required immediate attention. I love demanding deadlines in a stimulating situation!
When the steel fabrication and trade models were combined with the electrical design model, the 9,000 meters of cable tray clashed with the steel and various mechanical systems. With a tight timeline to fix discrepancies and determine new routes, MLC worked with the building owner, the general contractor, the subcontractor, and adjacent subcontractors to resolve the problems. Swift, decisive actions were crucial in ensuring that all parties could install their systems within scheduled deadlines without awkwardly vying simultaneously for the same space.
We did it! What a memorable and gratifying opportunity!
“getting the cable tray into the interstitial space. What a monumental task that was! I was just thinking about how much help you provided to get it in. It does look really good, and we nailed it too! There weren’t any major instances of “Uh oh, we forgot about this ladder.” Really well done!”

The Manitoba hospital addition was another highlight!
Hospitals are so much fun, complex spaces compliant with countless codes and access requirements for all scopes. Of course, so much typically needs to fit above the ceiling, already compromised in its limited spatial allowance.
MLC worked with the construction team and adjacent trades to meticulously plan out optimal routes for the site installation of the electrical systems for a seamless fit that worked for all, earning the following glowing testimonial. MLC also communicated this plan to the stakeholders, providing reassurance about the project's progress.
"MLC is a great team to work with. Our overall experience has been great on the project. MLC's knowledge of the cope and modeling capabilities were to industry standard. I would recommend them to others."

“Partnering with MLC allowed us to select programs and systems to use to enable BIM, have written and got approval for a strategic plan to implement BIM company wide, and have proceeded on test projects using BIM.
We have significant insight into best practices for adopting BIM and taking strides that go beyond current industry standards for our region and field of work. We feel confident moving forward with BIM."
